First Blog Post | My Honest Experience With The K13 Lite Dtf Printer for my Small Business
I want to share a little behind‑the‑scenes moment from my small business journey, my experience with a brand new addition to my shop: the K13 Lite DTF printer by ProColored.
I ordered this printer back in November during a pre‑sale, which meant I waited about a month for it to arrive. I’ll be honest, making this purchase was not easy. It’s a pretty big investment, and I went back and forth on it more times than I can count. But I’ve wanted a DTF printer for so long, and eventually I just took the leap.
First of all… it’s pink. That alone sold me. It's name (color name) is Fluffy Panda, how stinking cute! 🐼
Unboxing it was a mix of excitement and slight panic. You know that feeling where your brain convinces you something is going to be way harder than it actually is? Yeah, that. But surprisingly, setup was really easy. I followed the steps, took my time, and before I knew it, I printed my very first design.
And it worked.
I pressed it onto a shirt and… success. I was SO excited. I couldn’t wait to start using this machine more and really put it to work for my business.
Then, about three days later… it stopped working. Completely. It just stopped moving.
I’ll spare you the super boring details, but let’s just say I ended up changing out the motherboard (still can’t believe that sentence is real), swapping some wires, replacing cartridges, a lot of things. After about a month and a half of troubleshooting, it finally started working again.
Was it frustrating? Yes, absolutely.
But I do want to say this; customer service was genuinely helpful. You get one‑on‑one support with a real person, and they send videos, photos, and step‑by‑step instructions to walk you through everything. If I could do it, truly… anyone can.
Now it’s been about a week of consistent printing, and I can honestly say, I love it. I still feel scared though. There’s definitely a learning curve, but that comes with anything new. Each day I feel more confident using it, and I’m really excited to see how much this machine helps my business grow this year.
